And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Ephesians 6 v 18
Gracious God, we pray for guidance
as we explore future patterns of worship and witness, spirituality and service
to others. May your church continue to discover new ways to share the good news
of your mercy, grace and love revealed in Jesus and be guided and empowered by
the Holy Spirit. Amen

Lord, we pray for those
disappointed because lockdown has been reimposed
temporarily for them and for those for whom the easing of lockdown causes
anxiety. We pray also for those who have to make the most difficult decisions
affecting the lives of millions of people. Amen.

Please pray for preachers thinking about
whether and when to respond to requests to take services again and for church
leaders as restrictions are eased and decisions will have to be made about when
to open again and how premises can be made safe for use in the light of
continuing church and Government guidelines. Amen

Pour your grace into our hearts, O
Lord, that we may be faithful to your gospel in our witness, attentive to your
voice in our prayers and sensitive to your presence in our neighbour; through
Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jesus says, “Love” and I say, “Who?”
Jesus says, “Give” and I say, “What?”
Jesus says, “Follow” and I say, “Where?”
And Jesus says:
“Whoever.”
“Whatever.”
“Wherever.”

call with everything that I am and everything that I have.
Let me hold nothing back in

God of unimaginable love, we give you thanks and praise.
For the love that welcomes the unlovely,
for the love that pardons the unworthy,
for the love that knows no limit,
we give you thanks and praise

Prayer from the Revd Ruth Gee, Assistant Secretary of the Conference.
As we continue to see and hear reports of devastation in Beirut we pray for those who are bereaved or injured and for those responding to the catastrophe that has engulfed the city.
Gracious God, We pray for those who live and work in Beirut that the bereaved may be consoled and the injured comforted and healed.
We pray for the rescue services and the hospital staff giving thanks for their commitment and skill. In the midst of catastrophe we pray for peace, truth and justice. As the sound of explosion fades and the smoke clears give wisdom to those who lead, courage to those who serve, and hope to all. Amen.
